re: "btw: I am also opposed to veterans getting free healthcare if their problems are not service related."

I would agree except that it's part of the contract we made with them when they signed up. It partly makes up for the crappy salary.

In the future, soldiers shouldn't get free lifetime healthcare.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

...What this election cycle brings us is a PIG PARTY. A pig party is a party at which the guy who brings the ugliest date wins a prize. IMHO Hillary is the winner hands down. I rather have Sanders than her. While I am generally opposed to the government doing for people what they should be doing for themselves, I do believe that if (key word here being IF) they are going to get involved in the healthcare bidness the way to do it is to put EVERYBODY on Medicare or medicaid or whatever. This would have to include all government employees elected or civil service. Then all of America could enjoy the wonderfulness of gubmint healthcare and not just the nations veterans.

...btw: I am also opposed to veterans getting free healthcare if their problems are not service related.
