WOW! Very interesting - and something I did not know.

We saw swastikas when we were in Indonesia; it is considered a sign of good luck.

OCU - It's good that now, in your retirement - you have time to research subjects other than the Republican Party and its members.

Up until the 1930's and the rise of Nazi Germany, the shoulder insignia worn by troops from the US Army's 45th Infantry Division was the 'swastika', a symbol common among Native American tribes in the Southwest, the area of the country where the 45th Infantry was originally organized and headquartered.
