Trump would beat them easily, especially if he selects a woman as well.
Who'd be the perfect running-mate for Trump? I mean to win the Presidency, not to be the kind of leader most of us on this board would want. Forget about people like Andrew Napolitano or Rand Paul. Their philosophies wouldn't mesh with his at all. And there's no way Trump would choose them. I think it should be someone who is politically savvy - a Washington insider. Female or minority would help. And someone who's really smart, comfortable in front of a camera who won't make Palin-esque mistakes. Is there anyone like that who's also popular?
Well, there's one I can think of who leaps to the front of my list: CONDI RICE.

Democrats see Hillary Clinton-Elizabeth Warren dream ticket | Clinton, Trump close in three swing states | House’s McCarthy a Trump delegate

Democrats are openly pulling for Hillary Clinton to pick Elizabeth Warren as her running mate.
Amid concerns that supporters of Bernie Sanders will stay home on Election Day, writes the Hill, a number of Democrats see a Clinton-Warren alliance as an all-woman dream team capable of igniting enthusiasm in the progressive base. Jamal Simmons, a Democratic strategist, told the Hill the longer Sanders stays in the race, the more likely Clinton will select Massachusetts Sen. Warren. He said Warren “solves so many problems: enthusiasm, women, young liberals, older white liberals.” The Hill writes Clinton insiders have been asked about their thoughts on Warren, among other possible vice presidential picks.
Clinton, Trump close in Florida, Ohio, Pa.: A new poll finds Clinton and Donald Trump running neck and neck in Florida, as well as Ohio and Pennsylvania, three key presidential swing states. The latest Quinnipiac University poll found Clinton at 43% to presumptive Republican nominee Trump’s 42% in Florida; Trump edging Clinton 43% to 39% in Ohio; and Clinton leading Trump 43% to 42% in Pennsylvania. Since 1960, no candidate has won the presidential race without taking at least two of those three states.
Puerto Rico aid supported: Support for congressional intervention in Puerto Rico’s debt crisis is at 51% in a new poll from Morning Consult, while 28% said they opposed any action. Congress is readying a new bill to help the island address its debt, after weeks of division between Democrats and Republicans. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew visited Puerto Rico on Monday and warned that the crisis could send the island’s economy into a tailspin.
McCarthy now a Trump delegate: House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy has signed up to be a delegate for Donald Trump at this summer’s Republican convention in Cleveland. As Politico writes, the move by California’s McCarthy is noteworthy in part because House Speaker Paul Ryan has said he is “not ready” to endorse Trump. Under California’s delegate rules, candidates select their own delegate slates, and Trump put McCarthy in to represent his congressional district. Trump will meet with Ryan and other top congressional Republicans in Washington on Thursday.
Garland resumes Supreme Court push: President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland, will submit a questionnaire about his credentials to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday as he resumes his meetings with senators. Garland, writes Roll Call, is set to submit answers to a routine questionnaire for judicial nominees, a step the White House hopes will be a precursor to confirmation hearings. But there have still been no signs toward hearings from Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, an Iowa Republican. Republicans have insisted the next president should appoint a Supreme Court justice.
