Yep. There are all sorts of lies in just that brief excerpt.

Zimmerman was not "told not to approach." He was told "you don't have to do that" when he said he was following Martin. There's a huge difference between the police telling someone not to do something and the police telling someone he doesn't have to do something.

The statement that Zimmerman "provoked and scuffled with" Martin is a lie, unless you consider following Martin in the car to be provoking him, and being waylaid by Martin to be scuffling. The fact is, Martin had only two injuries: A bullet hole in his chest and bruises on his knuckles from punching Zimmerman in the face. Martin did his best to crack Zimmerman's skull, and the injuries to the back of Zimmerman's head testify to that.

As you noted, Martin had plenty of time to get away when Zimmerman told police he'd lost sight of him. In fact, the spot where Martin had vanished was just 125 yards from Martin's house. He could have covered that distance in less than twenty seconds. Instead, he elected to hide and then double back to attack Zimmerman several minutes later.

The prosecution of George Zimmerman was one of the most disgraceful abuses of power I have *EVER* seen. To sacrifice an innocent person just to quell a mob was, well, disgusting.

Journalists continue to lie, directly, through omission, or through innuendo, about what happened. Further, I note that most of the sites that post this sort of garbage don't permit readers to post comments. The cowards. It's the liberal way. Lie, and don't allow the truth to be heard.

Hmm. What other place that we're all very familiar with is managed like that? LOL. It too is run by a cowardly liberal.

Zimmerman, who was acting as a volunteer night watchman in the community, where Trayvon was staying with family, called 911 when he saw the teen on the grounds.

He was told not to approach — but he did anyway.

Zimmerman provoked and scuffled with the teen, who had nothing more nefarious on him than the Skittles and Arizona watermelon fruit juice he’d just bought. Zimmerman wound up shooting Trayvon dead — and then claimed self-defense.

Only after six weeks of protests was a full investigation launched by Florida authorities. Zimmerman was charged by a special prosecutor appointed by the governor — but he was acquitted of both the murder and manslaughter charges in 2013.

I find it amazing how lies continue to propagate.
As I recall, Zimmerman lost sight of his suspect.
At that point Trayvon could have (and should have)
gone home and he'd still be alive today.

I find it interesting that Trayvon, who had a cell phone,
did NOT call the police to report he was being followed
by a suspicious character.

I am most appalled at the fact that it was known early
on that Trayvon brutally and viciously assaulted
Zimmerman. (That is why the police did not charge him
that night.) I am certain that the fact that Trayvon
assaulted Zimmerman is why Zimmerman was found not
guilty.

(Zimmerman should never have been charged.)

Zim.
