At some point in the movie, they were starving, because they were trying to grow plants watering with coca cola or orange juice, and they almost killed the guy who woke up from a freeze from 200 years earlier who told them to use water. It was a crazy movie, but it made the point about what happens when the educated and career driven put off having kids, while the stupid multiply like rabits.

We have come to a junction, where the stupid could take over. Because they don't think. Their actual thoughts are instinctive reactions without actual thinking involved. That's why they do not realize that when Donald Duck says he'll bring the jobs back, assuming he could do it, they will have to be paid as much as those who do them NOW are getting paid, and live under similar conditions. How many of these nimrods will take such a job?
