the teachers and staff are not considered public employees and therefore are not held to the same standards

...the big difference being is that these folks are required to produce positive results or they lose their jobs. Public school teachers can swirl around on the bottom of the barrel like the bottom feeders they are.

Note that she works for a charter school which while it's funded with taxpayer money, the teachers and staff are not considered public employees and therefore are not held to the same standards, nor subject to the same disciplinary consequences as are regular public school teachers.
