Delta Bans Disruptive Trump Supporter
Delta Air Lines announced Monday in an internal memo that it had banned an unnamed Trump supporter—whose disruptive actions aboard a flight went viral over the holiday weekend—from using its services ever again.
The man was seen in a video clapping and shouting at passengers, “Donald Trump baby!” later adding, “We got some Hillary bitches on here? Come on, baby. Trump! That’s what I thought. That’s what I’m talking about.” He eventually sat back down following his rant and was allowed to remain aboard the flight from Atlanta to Allentown.
The airline eventually apologized, telling customers that “the behavior we see in this video does not square with our training or culture.” Delta CEO Ed Bastian followed up on Monday with a memo, informing employees that “if our colleagues had witnessed firsthand what was shown in the video, there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft.”
He added: “He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane.” All other passengers aboard the flight will have their fare refunded.
