BTW, did you see in the above story where Bernhard Langer, the supposed source for the anecdote, is now suggesting that it was the media's fault that Trump got the story wrong.

If this story was passed from person-to-person, all of whom were private citizens, how can you then blame the media for how the story either morphed along the way, like when we were kids and we played that game called 'telephone', or was misconstrued by Trump himself when he decided to use it to at least partially justify why he suddenly was convinced that 3-5 million people voted illegally in the election.

Is this how the Trump people are going to rationalize ALL of Trump's lies and misstatements; it was the media's fault for reporting what Trump said. After all, Kelleyanne Conway has already suggested that we should be looking into Trump's heart for what he meant rather than only going by what he actually says.
