Six members of a Rotherham sex-abuse gang, who groomed and then abused girls as young as 11, were sentenced to 81 years in prison today. The Telegraph reports two of the men yelled "Allahu Akbar" as they were led to prison:
There were chaotic and emotional scenes at Sheffield Crown Court after two of six men jailed for sex offences relating to the woman and another victim shouted "Allahu Akbar" - translated as "God is greater" - as they were led from the dock.
As their supporters began shouting down into the packed courtroom, one of the victims shouted back "justice is served" as police moved into the public gallery.
The sentence today was for the grooming and sexual abuse of two girls between 1999 and 2001. Basharat Dad received a 20 year sentence for multiple counts of rape and other charges. Nasar Dad got 14 years. Tayab Dad, Matloob Hussain and Mohammed Sadiq were each given 13 years. Finally, Amjad Ali, who had pleaded guilty last year, was given 11 years. ...
