I agree that Flynn likely either did not remember exactly what he said and did not say.
I doubt highly he was set up by the Trump team.

He had to leave because the BREACH of TRUST created between himself and V.P. can never be bridged. He specificallyto ld Pence that he never talked with the Russians, period.

THAT was a LIE directly to his superior regardless of what he said to the Russian ambassador.

He did indeed speak to them and he denied earlier to Pence that he did, and Pence took him at is word, only to have this come back later and slap him in the face by all too willing media.

THAT will not fly.

Flynn is out because he lied period. He should have resigned before he was ever confirmed and spared us the circus. You are correct. He can never be held in trust again to tell the truth when he was caught red handed in a lie to Mike Pence.

If I was Pence, I would have demanded HE resign.
In my former company I would have fired him on the spot about ten seconds after I learned that he lied to me.

Good riddance. Time to get some honest no nonsense guy in there and I am not so sure that is Gen. Petraeus. He had his own set of issues earlier so he may be more of a liability.

I think another choice is in order.....
