He did lie to Pence.
Back in December when he and Pence had a meeting about this and he told Pence directly that HE DID NOT SPEAK TO THE RUSSIANS.
The fact is HE DID. Does not matter what the topics
or content was, he surely DID talk to the Russians.
SO PENCE, went out in public and defended him and said that NO, Kelley did not speak with the Russian ambassador at all.
Then we find out well,that, yeah, he kinda did but he was not exactly sure about what but that it was not about lifting sanctions....
He lied. He was asked if he even just TALKED to the Russians and he told Pence NO.
That's a lie anyway anybody cares to look at it.
WHY would TRUMP and his team set up General Kelly?
They have enough problems as it is and did not need this to happen as now they have to go through an entire new process to get another person through the Senate...
He was not set up. He simply lied. Had he told Pence the truth the day they talked, and then later he and the VP could find out exactly what was said and if Kelly actually violated any codes of ethics or conduct
and if not, all would have been well.
IT always pay to simply tell the truth. When ya li, it will comeback and bite ya in places that really hurt....
That's how I see it Professor. We both agree on outcome. Have slightly different ideas on the in between stuff.
