Micro,

That is a difference between you and me. You choose to call Flynn a liar.

I say his record of integrity through his ENTIRE life says this man is NOT a liar, is NOT a coward. He has consistently told the truth, ESPECIALLY when he was the Director of the DIA, and resigned rather than withhold the TRUTH about what was going on with IRAN and ISIS. This is a MENSCH that takes FULL responsibility for his actions. His entire life has reflected that.

I can not say the same thing about the VP. He is a politician almost his entire life.

Why did TRUMP, who was FULLY aware of what Flynn did and said to the Russians not tell Pence ?

Look at the 'apology' of Flynn and note two things.

1. The furthest that Flynn can concede is that he (Flynn) 'mischaracterized' the call. He does NOT say he 'lied'.

2. Flynn maintains, even now, "I DID NOTHING WRONG."

So, to call Flynn a 'liar' means to also call him a man who is TOTALLY incapable of FULLY taking responsibility for his actions.

Calling it a 'mischaracterization' DOES take full responsibility - even if the fault lies with PENCE not 'understaning' correctly or even if PENCE flat out lied, or maybe, that Flynn did not 'remind' Mike that the phone call may have been recorded and transcribed.
Do you really buy the bs that 'Flynn changed his tune when Flynn became aware the call was recorded' ? Flynn, the FORMER DIRECTOR OF THE DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY ... not being cognizant of NSA monitoring of calls to foreign officials, especially RUSSIAN foreign officials. I don't buy that bs for a microsecond.

Que Bono ?
1. What did/would Flynn have to gain by lying to Mike Pence ... IN A PRIVATE CONVERSATION/DEBRIEFING ?

2. What did/would Mike Pence have in mischaracterizing in PUBLIC STATEMENTS about what Flynn relayed to him.

Answers: 1. - Nothing. 2. - Many possibilities - given the furor over any/all contact, appearance of contact between the Trump Admin and Russia prior to the election and installation into office.

Now, Answer this.

Why have General Flynn, and his aids been denied ANY ACCESS to the illegal transcript of that phone call ?

Over eight sources in the government have already had access to that transcript and 'leaked' it to the press.

Sorry, micro. The FACTS of the issue have spoken and they sure as hell do not add up.

AHHHHH Professor.

Nobody is castigating his former military service.
Me of all people. Ribit of all people. Anyone else who has served. You think two jarheads are not thrilled about Mad Dog being head of an agency?
Of course not.

BUT

Back in December Vice President Mike Pence asked General Kelly, who has now been a politician for several years and a critic over the Iran deal from Obuckwheat, and was eventually let go for various reasons we can all speculate on, Kelly assured Pence that he did not speak with the Russians about whatever.

Are you saying Mike Pence is a liar????

I would believe Pence before I would believe Kelly.

The chain of unequivocal trust has been violated. Pence was made out to look like a fool by going public defending General Kelly asserting that the General had no contact with the Russians back in December during the transition time.

It's on record.

WHY would Pence make a fool out of himself and appear to be trying to hide or cover up something that Kelly clearly did????

Kelly may have simply forgotten. But when Mike Pence says and there are other witnesses to this, that when he asked General Kelly if he had been in contact with the Russians during transition and the General said NO HE HAD NOT, you honestly think Pence would blatantly lie about that?????

Professor, you are showing me that you know little of Pence's FAITH, his belief system, and that HIS reputation as being straight as an arrow is equal to if not better by far than General Kelly's. We are talking about ETHICS here and beyond that, WHAT DOES ONE TRULY BELIEVE about LYING and what the BIble has to say about it?

Pence could talk to you all day about that and his Biblical perspective all day long.

I do not recall ANY news organization bringing attention to the General's personal Faith and Trust in God, the Bible or Christ.

I would take MIke Pence's word every hour of every day of the week over General Kelly.

But the General is NOT DENYING that he told Pence one thing and did something else.

SO I do not see or understand why there is even a debate.

TRUST was BROKEN. It cannot be regained or restored.

It is to me that simple.

I do not believe for a heartbeat there is some nefarious behind the doors conspiracy to get rid of Kelly after they fought so hard to get his nomination approved.

You certainly are entitled to your opinion though.

I just look at it through the eyes of a believer and one who has been in position of leadership both in the Church as well as in Business and know the value of telling the truth at all times, even if it hurts....

Trust can never be fully restored once broken. You should know that....
