OK you guys.

Johnny reb, jes want y'all to know that I am a blue belly and a big belly. Laughing Laughing

Iffen y'all is feeling really smug 'bout yer southern pride and heritage, well, all I can say is that's a wonderful thing cause if ya isn't pleased with yer choice of where ya is living and ya did not have a choice in where ya wuz born, well, then one can;t complain and likely is not happy.

In your terminolgy I am just a yankee. I do not care to vacation in the deep south, but have found Savannah and Charelston to be breathtakingly charming and beautiful. Wonderful folks there too.

I love the rich history of Virginia and visiting those historical sites including taking the tour of the State Capitol in Richmond which was designed by Jefferson while in France as Ambassador to France under President Washington. The MODEL of the building is still there under glass.

You all have provided some very good contributions to our nation as well. I can think of a few.

1. Southern Fried Chicken
2. Sweet Potato Pie
3. Fashion design as far back as Civil War with men wearing jeans with holes and rips and tears in them. You have to pay extra for ripped clothing in stores today so y'all was ahead of the fashion curve.

4. You have some of the best humidity in the country.
5. For professor, I will end my humorous list with this : Gen. John Bell Hood and his men were the toughest, most feared group of fighting men during the Civil War. The Leadership was great and the men were willing to follow under great leadership without hesitation. His Division fought under Longstreet's Corps. Toughest bunch overall imo.

I personally do not like humidity, high heat, lots of BUGS, insects, gators, poisonous snakes, non-poisonous snakes, armadillos, fire ants, lizards, swamps, and many other similar things which you guys have a great abundance of.

Anyway, jes thought I would throw a little back yer direction as one of them Yankees and to let you know also that it don't matter to me. I likes all you Ridge runners, hillbillys, southerners anyway in spite of what side of the Ohio River you happen to live on.

Professor, I have lots of KIN who are Texans in the Arlington Texas area and as most know, my grandchildren and daughter and her worthless husband are Virginians living in the Virginia Beach area now and formerly in Richmond.

SO I am unsure exactly what that makes me as I live exactly 12 miles NORTH of the Mason Dixon line.

Very Happy Laughing Smile

Take care you bunch of rowdy rednecks!

micro.... lifetime yankee.....
