Unfortunately, our current US Atty Gen, Jeff Sessions, is a strong proponent of assett seizure and forfeiture prior to conviction.
That said - conspiracy to commit crimes under the guise of 'peaceful political protests' IS prosecutable and DOES require undercover investigations. PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS is NOT what the article states the bill being about. And yes, criminal conspiracy in political venues SHOULD be covered under RICO statues.
Amendment IV
