Of course they do. But so do people who drink. Even people who rarely drink. It's not the marijuana or the alcohol (or the gun, for that matter) that kills. It's the person. The vast majority of people who use any of the above are responsible enough to make sure they don't endanger other people when they do so. It is for these people, the responsible majority, that these things are legal. America is supposed to be the land of the free, after all, and my right to swing my fist should be absolute until it intersects with your face. And then I should lose my rights and go to jail. The bottom line is that irresponsible people like clo's son who drive while impaired belong in jail. It's substance ABUSE that should be illegal, not substance USE. Gold is $1,581/oz today.
