Marijuana tends to make people passive? Really? So much so thatthey actually DO NOT THINK, USE GOOD JUDGMENT, ENDANGER OTHERS lives when they are behind the wheel of a car. True: Liquor is also an impairment to one's ability to drive a vehicle which is why there are LAWS against DRUNK DRIVING. You know of laws against Marijuana driving? WHY don't we simply LEARN from the lessons of drunk driving. WHEN you make something so readily available, and you know good and well it impairs one's ability to do lots of things, and how many deaths from drunk drivers committed upon other people and destroys their family's lives for the remainder of theirs, isn't it time to accept some accountability and responsibility? I happen to believe that medical marijuana should be prescribed by a doctor. Period. We do not need thousands of marijuana sales shops for people looking for a BUZZ who do not really need this for medicinal value and then put my family in harm's way because they are mentally impaired from being stoned..... Unfortunately, SOME THINGS that are mind altering actually DO need to be controlled or regulated.... ALL one is doing by making this so available to everyone ANYTIME they want to go buy some more is enabling them to be stoned and be a DANGER, aONE that does not simply have consequences for the USER, but for innocent victims, like ME. Wait until some stoned marijuana pot head hits you head on. Hopefully your wife or son is not in the car with you.
WHat you are displaying is the "it didn't happen to me THE dangers are no different than those caused by the person who goes into a bar and drinks way too much and then goes out and drives a vehicle and hits an innocent law abiding citizen, and after the family has buried one it's members, everyone can say OH what a shame he was hit by a drunk driver. I say if you drive drunk and hit somebody else, or are just caught, you go to prison for a very long time and no hope if parole. You KILL someone, you forfeit your own life in return. PLUS YOUR family owes the family of the victim a TON OF MONEY for the rest of their lives as what PRICE do you put on someone else's life??? THE ONLY reason I did not gethurt worse was because my car was in reverse and going backwards when this POT HEAD marijuana smker nailed on MY SIDE OF THE ROAD after I was driving backward a quarter of a mile... Yeah, let's not put ANY restraints on marijuana. It's okay for people to abuse it and hurt other people. THEN if that is the case, I should have the right to shoot that SOB who should NOT have been driving, should not have been getting high on it, and could have killed me plus he forever damaged my perfectly fine brand new car that now has a WRECK and crash on its record for resale purposes. We disagree De. WHEN you ARE a victim, like I was, you may well have different thoughts. HO)pefully YOU do not find out the hard way or any of your family members but what I see as your and Nemo's argument, is a LIBERAL, NO CONTROLS and NO ACCOUNTABILITY for the distinct and almost guaranteed possibility of a marijuna smoker to HARM or hurt others because they have a mind that has been altered, much the same as alcohol impairs the mind... Just because ALCOHOL is not controlled, does not mean that IT SHOULD NOT BE. ASK ANY MOther who has lost a child to a drunk driver. Or father, or sister or brother. WHY does it always have to happen to someone directly, and impact their family, for them to realize that it has already impacted LOTS of other people's lives and they were the victims, before THAT someone actually thinks that they do not want it to happen to them? EVERYTHING under the sun does not mean it is good for you, or not bad for anyone else. YOUR rights END where they IMPACT and infringe on mine. Remember??? POT HEADS rights END when they directly can cause irreparable harm to MY FAMILY, or myself. As do the rights of DRUNK DRIVERS.
IT SHOULD be regulated and controlled and the consequences of tragedy's should not be discounted and the punishment for one's willfulness to smoke and drive or drink and drive and then injure or kill anyone else or their property, should be SEVERE, LASTING, and have lots of financial consequences attached. That isn't much of a control and if you really need it for medical reason. it is no different than needing a prescription for a medicine. You will soon find out who this way who really needs it medically, and who was just pretending to need it and was just ABUSING it to get a high and endangering other people....
