That's exactly what it is. That's okay. The witch hunt began long ago and is readily apparent to the American public. If it continues, the destruction of the Democratic party will persist.
As described in 'The little boy who cried wolf,' people don't like and don't believe chronic trouble makers. That's why they beat up the Democrats in 2010. And they beat them up in 2012. Andhey beat them up in 2014. And they beat them to a bloody pulp in 2016. And it's going to happen again in 2018.
