One of the best single things that could be done is to allow price advertising across the medical spectrum. Not sure if that could be done at the federal level, or if it has to be up to the individual states.

In any case, I've heard that proposal exactly nowhere among the maggots in power.

Yesterday - one of the 'news sites' quoted an un-named REPUBLICAN Congress critter about the new Republican 'healthcare plan' -

Paraphrasing (from memory) - "If our plan doesn't bring down 'healthcare' costs - then we've been spinning our wheels".

Personal note to all Congress Critters -

AT NO TIME IN OUR LIFETIMES HAS THE GOVERNMENT DONE A DAMN THING TO BRING DOWN THE COSTS OF HEALTH CARE.

The only thing ALL your freaking meddling has done is to shift around WHO PAYS for our 'health care' - that is what 'INSURANCE' - whether government or private - does - it shifts costs.

IT DOES NOT ADDRESS, IN ANY MANNER, the ACTUAL COSTS of 'health care.'

SHeeeeesh - How stooooopid do you think we are ?

Guess that is pretty obvious - ya thinks most of us is too damned stooooopid to understand that basic truth.
