...it isn't at all abnormal for a new attorney gen to fire all the holdovers. Janet Reno fired 93 of 94 when she went in to power in March 93. That's twice as many as Sessions fired.

...of course the bedwetters will scream bloody murder like it never happened before.

Good news - boots on the ground. Finally.

Jeff Sessions asks Obama's holdover US attorneys to resign

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday asked the remaining 46 U.S. attorneys appointed by President Obama to resign.

According to the Justice Department, those resignations will "ensure a uniform transition."

"Until the new U.S. attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutions in our U.S. Attorney's Offices will continue the great work of the department in investigating, prosecuting, and deterring the most violent offenders," said spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores in a statement Friday afternoon.

....
In March 1993, when Sessions was a U.S. attorney in Alabama, Clinton's attorney general, Janet Reno asked him to resign.

Shortly after, the Justice Department released a statement:
“Until the new U.S. attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutions in our U.S. Attorney’s Offices will continue the great work of the department in investigating, prosecuting, and deterring the most violent offenders,” said spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores in a statement Friday afternoon.

The move comes as President Trump works to fill out the Justice Department with his own appointees, a process that has been slow due to obstruction from Democrats.

Although the move is sure to bring more controversy from liberals, the shake up is necessary to transition the department to a new administration. After all, it wasn’t long ago that Obama holdover Sally Yates was openly defying her boss in public, forcing President Trump to fire her.

More on this story as it develops…

Kharma, eh ?
