...mine used to do that as well. I had T at the time.
The DSL line I had got slower and slower over a period of months. Finally started dropping out of service for no apparent reason. Worked with a lot of people who barely spoke English. No resolution. Called em toward the end of Feb and told em to cancel the service. They were right there with the promises then. Too late folks. The horse is out of the barn and it is too late to close the door.
...the trouble I started having with my "high speed dsl line" started about the same time that the "fibre high speed dsl line" became available. I ain't saying they screwed up the regular service on purpose so they could sell me something more expensive, but I ain't saying they didn't either. As they say in the stock market, past performance is not an indicator of future results, but in the case of T and mikey brown it is what ya might call a "Clue".
BTW: They billed me for the service which was disconnected for the month of March. They "splained" that my phone was paid for in advance, but the internet was paid for in arrears. It all came on the same bill but nevertheless blah blah blah.
Getting rid of em is like getting rid of the goofy chick ya went out with as a favor for a buddy who needed a wingman to pick her off so's he could get this hot chick off to himself.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
