It was a great concert. Granted, Judy Collins may be a bit past her prime (she'll be 78 in May), but she still managed to put on a great performance doing a nearly full 90-minute set (standing up) and then 15 minutes at the piano (before turning to folk music, when she was a teenager she was being trained as a concert pianist) and then another 15 minute set before she ended the show.
She sang many of her old standards, with the second to the last song 'Bring in the Clowns'. She told some stories about her early days making the comment that if you remember the 60's than you weren't actually there, but she said she remembers it, well some of it. She talked about doing acid a few times but gave it up because it was interfering with her drinking (she's a reformed alcoholic). She's also very political, making several comments about our new president (while refusing to actually utter his name) and did several songs about the evils of war and the treatment of native Americans.
All in all, it was well worth the price of the tickets (we had orchestra seats, near the center and 12 rows up from the stage). She said that she's already planning a Fall tour with Stephen Stills, joking that she'd have to practice some of her more 'Rock' tunes.
