In TWENTY FOUR States - the number of births paid for by MEDICAID is 50% or higher.
IN FORTY ONE STATES (41 states, 82% of the USA)
MEDICAID BIRTHS ARE AT 41% or HIGHER.
If that is not an alarming statistic, I don't know what is.
The 'statistic' for TOTAL BIRTHS in the USA paid for by MEDICAID is not given - but easily tops 50% when one considers the population densities of the top 24 states alone.
BTW: Texas, Georgia, and Ohio rank HIGHER IN PERCENTAGE than New York, California, and Illinois.
(Of course actual NUMBER of births in those states paid for by Medicaid will reverse the rankings somewhat.)
That is DISGUSTING.
