They will of course be under oath. The problem really arises with a Congressional Committee granting immunity.

There is a concise paper on the subject written by
a lawyer named Hanah Volokh.

That should be a list of some of her papers in pdf.

One argument that she makes is that a grant by Congress of immunity can actually violate the separation of powers.

I don't trust manafort, stone or flynn whatsoever. Please believe me all of the president's russian loving aides are already represented by Washington lawyers who know the game intimately.

Trump will ultimately pardon all these clowns if the need arises. The Committee must have the power to compel testimony, and subsequently a U.S. Attorney must have evidence that is not banned from trial to convict.
