I'm not sure if this is real - it is something I found while looking at google images. If it is, it's the first photo I've ever seen showing the airplane that hit the Pentagon.
Update: Probably not real. It was pulled from this video, and the video doesn't look real to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX0EVRkny_A It still strikes me as really weird that NOBODY had so much as a still photo of the plane as it approached.

I used to wonder the same thing. Since the engines outweigh the rest of the plane, shouldn't the Pentagon have THREE exterior holes - one caused by the fuselage and two by the wing-mounted engines? The photo below shows you why the answer is no. There's just one BIG hole through which the bulk of the plane passed.
That photo just published showing a perfectly round hole is of an interior wall. The engines had the most mass and travelled the furthest. Inside the Pentagon, they did indeed knock round holes through concrete walls.
