Among public universities, U.S. News & World Report ranks UVA #2 in the nation, tied with U.C.L.A. and behind only U.C. Berkeley. These two are also tied at #24 in the nation among ALL universities. http://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities/top-public Since Joey had no interest in returning to California (we did not apply to Stanford, UCLA., U.C. Berkeley or USC for that very reason), he couldn't have picked a better public school.
*IF* the schools that have him wait-listed change their decision in June, Joey may still change his mind. But that's not very likely and we really aren't going to think about them any further.... so UVA it is!
