The school and its offer were just too good to pass up. We really liked William & Mary, but Joey thought the decision was obvious. UVA is bringing Joey in as an Echols scholar - something it offers around 6.5% of its new students. It comes with a host of benefits... the biggest being NO GENERAL ED CLASSES. That frees him up to take exactly what he wants while he's at UVA. He also only needs 79 credits to graduate, since the school accepts 41 of the AP credits he earned in high school. William & Mary would only have accepted 31 of the AP credits.
