$1,650/month. That's a bargain out here, believe it or not. The place is about 1,100 sqft, 2nd floor (which is what I wanted to reduce burglary risk), includes a one-car garage. A garage normally adds $100/month to rent, so this is a good deal.
It's a gated complex, which is also nice.
I'm aware that in other parts of the country, I could rent a pretty good sized house for that, but this is Northern Virginia and I'm happy with it.
The landlord was fine with our request to rent it only through the middle of April, so that's going to be it for us and Virginia. April 15th.
Between now and then, I'll be saving a bundle in rent each month. That'll be great, especially with my boy's college expenses accruing at the same time.
