Yes, the next North American eclipse will occur on my 97th birthday. If I'm still around, I've told my kids to make sure that they get me to where it can be seen.
We were so far off it didn't make an obvious difference, tried a cereal box pinhole, pretty fuzzy, but could see the edge nipped of a little... Family in PA, NC seem to have ignored it, new puppy or one and a brewery tour for the other...
So, I'll hold out for the next one in 2044... Patience, must have patience!
